Mark Driscoll who was made famous by Donald Miller in his book little book of heresy “Blue Like Jazz” is the lead pastor Mars Hill Seattle an emerging church (every other week).
While preaching last week Mark Driscoll finished his service and almost fell on his face when he realized he forgot to swear during his sermon. He was put off a bit when half the congregation (that only comes to hear him swear and find out if they are to give a thumb up or down on Emergent Village.) began to get up and leave half way through his sermon.
There were some that were over heard as they left stating that they were wondering if Mark Driscoll had gotten saved sometime last week before the service, though this cannot be confirmed or denied we just thought we might let the reader JUDGE whether condemnation is needed.
Continue to pray against Mark and his Church of potty mouth wannabes so that God will be still Holy in Seattle.

Sarcasm? I am not even sure what you mean, but I know that you must not be saved as you cannot discern whether we “Truth Warriors” who stand in the cause of spreading the Wrath and judgmentalism of God through Jesus Christ who came to save the Elect like me as saved or not.
If you look in the Bible, (which is that book with all the dust on it on your bookshelf) you will see that I was chosen in Christ before the creation of the world. So- where were you?

BTW I think Mark Driscoll is saved today. I heard he spoke out against Tony Jones’ New Book, “The New Christians” at at a local Starbucks.

If you do not understand that it is our eternal calling to judge and condemn all with God Holy Wrath and baptise them in His anger, then you might begin to understand how our minds work. In fact to ask that question shows me that you must also use “emergent” cuss language.
Here are some great men of our own age who understand the power of Imprecatory prayer.
We know that we are not only called to “curse” our enemies, but are commanded to do so at fear we also fall under that curse.

Wow, I actually found your blog from googling something. I gotta say, I feel pretty bad for ya. Seriously. I know your type pretty well. I truly feel sorry for ya. I think there is nothing wrong with knowing theology and being able to discern heresy. But then there’s your type. You probably don’t believe that Jesus performs miracles(turning water into wine). You sit at home and look forward to the time you can get on your blog to find something else to bash. But in all reality, your self-esteem gets raised by finding something else to bash. I’m pretty sure in middle school, I learned to not do that. And I’m guessing you might be out of middle school. I can’t imagine what it’s going to feel like when we get to heaven and you start arguing with Jesus over which people are his sheep. You say you are a follower in Jesus. So I’ll give you some advice, turn the computer off, get on eharmony or something to find you a girlfriend. After that doesn’t workout learn to speak real english, walk up to someone that you’ve looked down upon for so long for not being saved, tell them about Jesus and then have a slurpee. It’s just too bad your not going to do that. Instaed you’ll probably spend another friday night wishing you had a girlfriend and playing command and conquer with a friend you went to college with. While, thinking of a brilliant response to myself. Meanwhile, I am going to go out, work, exercise, continue in school and call some of the urban youth I have been working with. Peace.

I just googled something and stumbled across this article and I cannot understand why you keep saying it is our job as Christians to spread God’s judgement and wrath. Have you read the verse in the bible where God states: “It is mine to avenge” that means that it is not our responsibility to judge or condem others. We are only called to “love others” and “walk worthy of the calling which we have recieved” The Holy Spirit is the only one who has authority to convict people’s hearts and I will be praying that he will convict you to remember the grace and love that Jesus extended into your own life so that you will learn how to simply love other people in the way he has loved you.
It is obviously that you have a passion and a love for Christ so use that passion to build the kingdom of God and not tear others down. Jesus said that a kingdom devided cannot stand so don’t create war with people who are on our side and spreading the love and grace of Christ. I challenge you to share with those who have not heard the gospel instead of judging those whose theology does not match up with your own.

subjectivemessage of the Truth. You must realise that protecting the Truth by judging others is serious business. The ministry of judging heretics and excecuting them by the fathers of the Reformation is well documented and we are following their example as the elect should. The methods of executing these judgements have also been well researched by the esteemed teacher in Discernmentalism, Dr. I.Todyaso. If you are not quoting Jesus when He favors other’s agendas, then you are only focusing on your own agenda, not God’s. Bending His Word to fit what you believe is the far more harmful than Driscoll’s stand on drinking. Perhaps if you are afraid the things Jesus says favor others and not yourself, you might spend some time in prayer and figure out where you have gone wrong in His sight.

On another note, a satire site such as this one hurts the cause of Christ more so than hinders it. Instead of trying to make your point, you might try furthering His cause and living out His Word instead of sitting in your comfy desk chair poking fun at “discernment ministries” who are far less open to change than coke addicts.

Come on folks – this kind of satire can only serve to help the true cause of Christ. The darker the darkness, the brighter even a pinpoint of light.
Mockers have their place in God’s program and he sovereignly uses them to accomplish his purposes.
These guys think they are funny, which always undermines a comedian. They would do far more harm if the satire weren’t obvious. When the tongue is so firmly in cheek, no one pays attention – including their own choir. The only exception are those who comment, thinking this is a serious site and needs to be rebuked on that basis. Those who do, aren’t going anywhere soon theologically anyway – so there’s not much to worry about.
No one walks into a trap that has neon lights over it glaring , “TRAP” – so as much as it must certainly pain use, your work is obvious self-defeating and obviously better left alone to self-destruct.

How can all this junk possibly be helping the Church? This is just like when Paul asks “Shall we keep sinning so that grace may about? By no means!” If you are Christians you all need to take an earnest step back and ask if what you are doing is good for the Church. Ask if Jesus would ever go about doing things in this way.

Fail? Oh dear ignorant Andrew… I have not failed I have discerned and seen the very heart of Apollo by the will of God who has so gifted me above all men! I saw that his heart was black against me. Had he quoted scripture against those that oppose the Truth War it would have be rightly dividing the Word of God so that it divides the Body of Jesus between the wheat and tares. We cannot tolerate tares in our churches and as the scripture commands us, we must drive them out if we see the enemy has planted them in our churches!

I read your blogpost with a really heavy heart and felt compelled to write to you.
First of all, God bless you. That’s how Jesus taught us to greet one another.
Second: I need to tell you my background. I am an Elder in a strong Evangelical church in England. I’m a lawyer by profession and have no affiliation to Mark Driscoll or his church. I have listened to Mark’s teaching (podcasts) and find his Bibilical principles sound.
My thought are based on scripture. That’s where we all start from.
‘By your fruits you will know them…’ A well known scripture I’m sure you know.
The fruits of your post are vitriol towards Driscoll, with a request that we pray against him. Your comments to the young lad suggest he should find a relationship and not get drunk…? Do you know the lad? Words spoken over a youngesters life can do irrepreprable harm. I know that as I needed ministry for that and still struggle with what was spoken over me in my younger life. The reason I told you I was a lawyer and Elder is that I was told as a youngster I was hopeless and would never amount to anything. That did a great deal of harm. I went to a church that was judgmental and made me feel that God was a bully. I of course know now that was entirely wrong and that God loves us all.
OK. The fruits of Mars Hill? They preach the gospel, maybe in a way that you don’t agree with, but, neverthless they do, and they have seen people saved. That’s the fruit. Remember the scripture? What are the fruits of your post? I hope the young lad you slated reads this post and understands God loves him. I hope people don’t follow your advice and pray against Driscoll, and if you follow my reason I will tell you why below.
Scripture tells us that we should not touch the Lord’s annointed. Saul was the first annointed king of Israel. Even though Saul went against God and was actively seeking to kill David, it’s a lesson to see what happened when David found Saul sleeping.
David could have taken Saul down in a moment. David took a small piece of Saul’s robe and immediately felt burdened that he’d done that. He went back to God asking for forgiveness.
Never touch the Lord’s annointed. It’s dangerous to do so.
You may try and argue that Mark Driscoll is not annointed. Consult scripture again and see Jesus’ answers to his critics who proclaimed He was doing the works of Satan. Jesus explained that He could not being the works of satan when He was promoting His father. Remember that people are being saved under Driscoll’s ministry.
My (saved) son asked me to look at this as he came across your site. He was anxious about this, and I know I am even more anxious at the effect that your post may have on people searching for Christ, or at the critical stage of making a decision.
Think before you post. This is a window to the world, ask God for wisdom. I know I do constantly.

Truth be told. Mark Driscoll was called out on his swearimg by John Piper and now Piper asks Driscoll to do many of his desiring God events.
But who cares about forgiveness and the whole truth when old truths will seem so much jucier and create so many more discerning old truth fundamentalistic truth bashing BLOGS.

This stuff makes me so mad. So often things that people say are taken out of context….case in point. Anyone who has actually seen/watched his sermons knows that what he is talking about is Biblical. Yet people are taking one or two sentences out of context and making it seen as though it is sooo out of line. Watch his sermons yourself, “The Peasant Princess”, they are actually fantastic! As follower of Christ for 6-7 years now, his sermons on the Song of Solomon have given great insight to my marriage, to my sister’s as well and a couple who serve in leadership at our home church.
Check it our for yourself, not only will you be blessed, but your will clearly see how Satan is used to twist the truth of God’s Word.

Before you get all bent out of shape, please realize this is a satire site spoofing the so-called “discernment ministries” who deem themselves more worthy of Grace than the rest of us. So read and have fun! BTW, we are not against “good” discernment ministries that do actual real research and extend grace to others, only the bad ones.
This site is mock those that REALLY BELIEVE THIS STUFF THAT MAKES YOU MAD.
Now… If you bother to check this out for yourself… then you will not only be blessed but you will see how Satan is used to twist the truth of God’s Word…
Interestingly the most angry people who come to this site are those who hate me on a personal level and are ODM’s that we mock… and Mark Driscoll followers who do not bother to look around but just get mad and not use self control and just blast us in their anger.
Maybe that might be a message to you and others that anger is not the path to take… and that maybe instead of meeting anger and hate with anger and hate… meeting anger and hate with love and a sense of humor.

I can understand that you are trying to bring to light something that you obviously feel strongly about in a satirical manor, however as ONE body of christ we need to be careful not to discourage others. Whether for joke and fun, or for rebuke, we need to guard our tongues (or posts in this case) to make sure that we are not discouraging those whom God as called.
In fact this is something that we ought to be fleeing from.
Clearly a lot of people have not understood where you are coming from in your supposed light hearted tone. Even though i do not actually agree with where you ARE coming from, I think that you need to be loving and considerate of other fellow believers and whilst Mark is a sinner just like any one else, God can use him to bring people to Christ.
We are all sinners and this is the basic premise of christianity. I am a sinner, Driscoll is a sinner, and even you are a sinner. We are all hypocrites, we are all liars, we are all self righteous

This is why we all need the grace of God brought to us by his son Jesus Christ. It is not our place to judge whether Mark Driscoll has been saved as that is up to God. It is also not up to me to judge whether you have been saved but I pray that you have and that I will enjoy an eternity in paradise with you. I would hope that your prayer is the same for me and the world at large, and because of this not want to do anything that might discourage others.
As for your comments on God being hateful etc i have to verses that will show you that in fact this goes directly against what the bible says, and as this is an authority over both you and I, whether we agree with it or not, it is the truth

If Mark Driscoll could just stop talking about sex like he has managed to stop cussing …. maybe Arthur McJohn would like him. It seemed like two thirds of Mark Driscoll’s latest book “Religion Saves” was about sex. I realize that sex is the god of the USA; but seriously one can get bored with so much sex talk in one book. 😉
I look forward to a future book by Mark Driscoll that is sex lite? 😉

I, too, came across your blog while googling something, and while I was here I felt the desire to comment. The only thing I would add to the conversation is what do you consider yourself doing by posting this against Mark Driscoll and then practically bashing anyone and everyone who has commented on your blog? Didn’t Jesus warn us not to become like the Pharisees and teachers of the law who like to burden people with the law, but wouldn’t lift a finger to help them discern it and apply it to their lives? Understand I am not trying to judge, but it appears that your condemnation of Driscoll, emergent, and those who have commented on this blog is in direct opposition of what Jesus taught. So, from one brother in Christ to another, lay down the condemnation and take up the grace that has been offered to you through Jesus.

I think that you admitting your a sinner proves you are not saved like we are. In fact we are more righteous than the Pharisees and have added even more stringent layers to the Law that we call OUR DOCTRINES. Once you figure our OUR DOCTRINES and become like us, then we will approve you and your salvation… if not, you are condemned to hell. That is the ODM way! Get used to it.

I also noted that you have not tithed to this ministry, which further gives us suspicion you are not saved! BTW, do you not believe in the Sovereignty of God? I guess not because if my cold heart can rob people of a so-called relationship with God, then God is not sovereign. Truth believers in OUR God do not want a relationship with Him anyway as we have OUR DOCTRINES to save us! Heathen, reprobate and unregenerate people would not even understand this. The great thing about Rob Bell is that you can agree with everything and nothing and him all at once. My favorite thing on this site so far is when someone said “whilst”. That was great. And more powerful to, as old language is very intimidating.
